The impact of the core on the feel and performance of a carbon padel racket

The core: key to the playing experience in carbon padel rackets

In the world of padel, the core of a racket is one of the most decisive elements in defining both the feel of the hit and overall performance. While carbon in the outer structure provides rigidity, durability, and power, it is the core that nuances these characteristics, influencing comfort, control, and responsiveness. Understanding the differences between core types is essential for making the right decision, whether you seek a racket with more control, power, or balance.

What types of cores are found in carbon padel rackets?

We mainly find two major variants: EVA rubber core and FOAM core (polyethylene). Each offers different sensations and performance. In rackets like the Pala Siux Pegasus Elite 4 2026, carbon technology is combined with an advanced core to achieve a balance between power and control.

How does the type of core change the playing feel?

The playing feel is directly linked to the hardness and elasticity of the core. Rackets with a EVA rubber core are usually firmer and provide a dry hit, ideal for those seeking precision and controlled ball output. On the other hand, rackets with a FOAM core provide a softer feel, better absorbing vibrations and facilitating defensive and baseline play.

For instance, players seeking a premium experience often choose models like the Pala Vibora Titan 3K Negro 2026, which incorporates a high-density core and 3K carbon to maximize control and power.

How does the core affect attack and defense performance?

The type of core has a direct impact on the ball's speed off the racket and the racket's behavior in every game situation:

• In attack: A harder core (EVA High or EVA Black) provides more power in smashes and volleys, transmitting energy from the arm to the ball more efficiently.
• In defense: A softer core (FOAM or EVA Soft) better absorbs impact, making it easier to return difficult shots and reducing the risk of injury.

Models like the Pala Nox Edu Alonso EA10 Ventus Attack 12K Xtreme 2026 integrate next-generation cores to maintain optimal balance in both aspects of the game.

What is the relationship between the core, durability, and comfort of the racket?

The choice of core also conditions the racket's durability and the player's comfort. An EVA core, being harder, tends to maintain its properties longer, while FOAM, though more comfortable, may lose its qualities after intense matches. For those seeking a high-end, durable racket, options like the Pala Nox Quantum 12K Carbon 2025 combine the resistance of carbon with a high-performance EVA core, guaranteeing longevity and a professional feel.

Does the core help prevent injuries?

Yes. A soft core cushions vibrations better, minimizing the risk of tennis elbow and other joint discomforts. Rackets like the Pala Enebe Response Orange 2025 are recognized for their comfort, ideal for players prone to injuries or those who prioritize smoothness in their hits.

How to choose the ideal carbon racket based on the core type?

The choice of core will depend on your playing style, level, and personal preferences. If you seek maximum power and durability, a racket with an EVA core and high-density carbon will be your best ally. For a more defensive game or if you prioritize comfort, the FOAM core is excellent.

In the VIBORA section, you'll find models specialized in premium feel and power, while For WOMEN rackets generally offer more manageability and comfort. If you seek innovation and cutting-edge materials, check the SOFTEE category, where there are options for every style.
