Who each Joma shoe line is for, and who not ↑ menu
The Master 1000 is for anyone after everyday comfort and stability; the Slam Classic is for those who want more cushioning and grip on sand-based courts; and Roland, Set, Open and Electric cover more specific profiles depending on the surface and pace of play.

Want an everyday shoe, for men or women: the Master 1000. Phylon, Flexhield and a Durability outsole, in black, white or fuchsia depending on the fit.

Play almost always on sand-based courts and want more cushioning: the Slam Classic, with Reactive Ball and a herringbone outsole.

Buying for a young player: the Junior line (Slam 2601, Slam 2632 and Master 1000 2611), with the same technology adapted to a growing foot.
And who each profile is not for, which is what almost nobody tells you:
The Master 1000 is the sturdiest in the range: if lightness matters most to you, look at the Electric or the Roland, with its ultralight upper.
Set and Roland have an outsole built for sand-based artificial turf: if you mostly play on hard courts without sand, the Open, with its Omni outsole and circular studs, is a better fit.
Electric sizes: check its product page for the sizes left before deciding; if yours is not there, look at the Roland or the Set.

FAQs about Joma, the brand ↑ menu
Where is Joma from?
Joma is a Spanish sportswear and footwear brand founded in 1965 by Fructuoso López and based in Portillo de Toledo (Toledo).
Which in-house technologies do Joma padel shoes use?
The ones repeated across almost all these lines are VTS ventilation, the heat-sealed Sportech or Repic fit, the Stabilis stability piece and the Durability outsole; each model adds its own, such as Reactive Ball or Exo Counter.
Our customers ask about Joma padel shoes ↑ menu
At our shop in La Nucía, the two questions we hear most about these Joma shoes are which size to order when you are between two, and which one lasts best on the sand-filled artificial grass courts found at most clubs. These are the answers we give at the counter.
“I’m between two sizes, which should I order?” Check the size guide first and measure your foot wearing your playing sock. If you are still between two, in padel the one leaving a finger’s width at the front usually works better, because the foot slides towards the toe when you brake.
“Which one lasts best on sandy courts?” The ones with a herringbone sole: Slam Classic, Roland and Set. They grip and shed the sand; the Open, with circular studs, works better on hard courts with little sand.
Glossary of Joma padel shoe terms ↑ menu
- VTS
- Joma’s ventilation system: technical mesh with micro-perforations that improves air circulation and keeps the foot cool and dry.
- Sportech
- A seamless, heat-sealed fit system that wraps the foot lightly and prevents chafing.
- Stabilis
- A support piece in the midsole or midfoot that gives lateral stability and helps prevent twisting during changes of direction.
- Reactive Ball / Dual Reactive
- A dual-density midsole that combines cushioning and energy return: a softer layer to cushion and a firmer one for stability.
- Durability
- A highly abrasion-resistant rubber outsole, designed to extend the shoe’s life on demanding courts.
- Herringbone
- A herringbone-pattern outsole tread that grips and clears the sand from artificial turf courts, common in Spain.
- Exo Counter
- A reinforced heel counter at the back of the shoe that stabilises the heel and ankle.
- Phylon
- Lightweight compressed EVA foam used in the midsole of almost all these Joma shoes: it cushions and weighs little.
Tienda Padelpoint’s verdict on the 2027 Joma shoes ↑ menu
If you remember one thing: the Master 1000 for everyday play, the Slam Classic if you want more cushioning on sand-based courts, and Roland, Set, Open or Electric for more specific profiles depending on the surface. Eleven real in-stock models, not a promise for the future.
What we like most about this release is that every product page explains its technologies in detail: Stabilis, Reactive Ball, Sportech, Exo Counter… they’re not just names, they’re described model by model. And its presence on the professional circuit (today, at Premier Padel tournaments), while not a guarantee on its own, shows the brand takes padel seriously.
A tip from us to help you choose: check what type of court you play on most (with or without sand) before you look at the colour. That’s what changes most between these six lines.
We ship to the United Kingdom from our shop in Spain; as the UK is outside the EU, the order may carry import duties. Costs and delivery times are on our shipping page.
